Feedback of a participant after attending NFI workshop-

Johar from AWARD Trust!

I am back to Dumka safe and sound. Hope both of you are fine in Delhi as well. I think I am bit late to replay you.
I am extremely happy to share while participating in the workshop organized by you on 22nd August 2013 in Ranchi (Green Horizon). I myself being a participant would share with you in three points.
1. Expectation:
a. Personally meeting with the NFI members and to know it functions.
b. Personally meeting with other NGOs who are associated with NFI.
c. The bridge and gap where NGO often never realize.
d. Knowing more about fund raising methods.
2. Learning:
a. Found the way to raise the fund without grant even.
b. How to be different and more effective for donors.
c. An NGO should be very professional so that other may know and recognize me easily and ready to help and assist financially.
d. Leant more about fund raising strategy systematically which will help me to grow more and more.
e. The programme was fantastic and well managed by only two persons. Over all the programme was very helpful to me.
3. Suggestion:
There are so many factors apart from fund raising which matters a lot and I should know them well for best practices. As suggestion I would say NFI should conduct the workshop for the following topics also. As regards participation fee, there are other organizations training halls where we can book them cheaper instead booking expensive hotels after all we are social workers. For example in Ranchi ? Bagaicha, namkoom, in Dumka ? SDC, JOHAR etc.
a. FCRA ? Need and function.
b. Project proposal ? both technical and financial.
c. How to Report to the donors.
d. How to work with partnership ngo,
e. How to be a good turnover.
f. Important of photographs, paper cuttings.
g. How to obtain government award and certificates.
h. NGO black listing and futures.

At last lots of thanks for guidance and loving concern!

Yours faithfully,

Samuel Marandi
